Friday Night On Us
Four Seasons

Your best customer may not have left you. They may have simply gone quiet. The question is whether anyone noticed.
Imagine a guest who stayed eight times over five years and has not returned in eighteen months. Nothing went wrong. Work changed. Kids got busy. Life moved. Inside the hotel, his preferences were remembered. Outside it, his absence looked like nothing.
Four Seasons is known for recognizing the guest who is present. Names, preferences and details are part of that experience. The opportunity I see is the loyal guest who stops appearing. Silence can be harder for any service business to notice than a complaint.
Use two assets the hotel already has: guest history and the people who know the guest. The person who checked him in last time calls. "Mr. Rivera, it has been too long. Have you taken a vacation lately? Come spend Friday night with us. Free. Breakfast in bed. And we insist on the late checkout."
The feeling is being missed. Not targeted. Not marketed to. Missed by name, by a person who noticed the absence.
An otherwise empty Friday room could reopen a relationship that once mattered to both sides. Even if it brings the guest back only once, the larger value may be the story: someone noticed the absence before being asked to.
People search whether Four Seasons has a loyalty program because they are trying to understand how the brand recognizes loyalty. Recognition does not always need points. Sometimes it is a person noticing you have been gone.
Four Seasons built its reputation on remembering what matters while a guest is there. Friday Night On Us asks what happens when that same memory follows the guest home.
The customers most worth winning back often do not announce that they are leaving. Their signal is silence.
Who are the valuable customers in your business who used to be present and have quietly stopped showing up?
Bring a list of ten names to your next leadership meeting. Not segments. Names. Ask who on your team is close enough to call one of them personally.

The Reason to Return is how ZenMango practises Step Zero in public: find the moment the business never looked at, then make it the reason people come back.
